Packing is the part of moving that takes the longest and causes the most damage when it is rushed. Elite Star Movers is a family owned and operated moving company in Buda, and our crews professionally pack and protect homes and businesses across Austin, Buda, Kyle, San Marcos, New Braunfels, and San Antonio. We use proven methods and good materials so your fine china, art, furniture, electronics, and other delicate things arrive in the same condition they left. Packing Options That Fit Your Move

Full packing

We pack your whole home: kitchen, closets, bedrooms, garage, and everything in between. You get your time back, and every box is packed and labeled the same way, which makes unloading and unpacking faster.

Partial packing

Pack what you are comfortable with and leave the hard parts to us. Kitchens, fragile items, framed art, mirrors, lamps, and electronics are the most common requests. Partial packing is a good fit when you have time to pack clothes and books but want the breakables done right.

Fragile and specialty packing

China, glassware, artwork, mirrors, TVs, and heirlooms get extra padding, dividers, and wrap. Large flat pieces like mirrors and framed art are padded and protected so corners and glass are covered. Unpacking

We can unpack at your new home, put items where you want them, and take the empty boxes and paper away when you ask. Even unpacking just the kitchen and beds can make the first night feel like home. When we pack, the materials come with us, so you are not making extra trips to the store:

• Packing paper and wrap for dishes, glasses, and decor
• Dividers and extra padding for fragile items
• Moving pads and shrink wrap for furniture
• Mattress bags
• Floor runners and door-jamb pads to protect your home while we work

How We Pack

• Right box, right weight. Heavy items like books go in small boxes; light, bulky items go in larger ones. Boxes that are too heavy get dropped, and boxes that are half-empty get crushed.
• Padding first. Dishes and glasses are wrapped one at a time and packed snug so nothing shifts on the road.
• Clear labels. Every box gets a room and a short description, so it lands in the right place at your new home.
• Furniture protection. Furniture is padded and wrapped, and beds, tables, and other large pieces are taken apart and reassembled.
• Open-first box. We set aside the things you need right away, like bedding, chargers, toiletries, and a few kitchen basics.

Packing for Long-Distance Moves

A box that rides across town is handled a few times. A box going to Denver, Nashville, or Atlanta is loaded, stacked, and unloaded after a long trip, so packing has to hold up. For long-distance moves we use sturdier boxes for heavy items, fill every gap so contents cannot shift, wrap furniture fully, and label each box clearly for the room it belongs in at the other end. Packing Yourself? A Few Tips

• Start with rooms you use least, like guest rooms, hall closets, and the garage.
• Do not overfill boxes. If you struggle to lift one, it is too heavy.
• Tape the bottom of every box twice, and fill empty space with paper so the top does not cave in.
• Label each box on the side, not just the top, so labels are easy to read when boxes are stacked.
• Keep valuables, medications, and important papers with you.

Local moves are priced by the hour based on crew size, with no truck fees, and travel time is listed separately. Tell us which rooms you want packed and we will build that into your estimate. Yes. Our packing services include boxes, pads, and wrapping materials. If you are packing yourself, ask us what we recommend for your move.

Can you pack just part of my home?

Yes. Partial packing is popular. Many customers have us pack the kitchen, fragile items, and artwork while they handle clothes and books.

Do you unpack too?

When do you pack, the same day or before the move?

It depends on the size of the home. Smaller packing jobs can happen the morning of the move. Larger homes are often packed the day before so move day starts on time. We will recommend a plan with your quote.

Can you pack for a long-distance move?

Yes. Long-distance moves need stronger packing because boxes travel farther and get stacked higher. We pack with that in mind. See our long distance moving page.

Is there anything you will not pack?
