We’ve been moving Central Texas families and businesses for more than 20 years. We’re state-licensed (TXDMV #007098595c), insured, and registered with the Better Business Bureau. Austin Moving Company Services

There are plenty of moving companies in Austin, and every move here is a little different, so you choose the help you need. Some customers want everything handled from the first box to the last bed frame. Others just need strong hands for loading day. As local movers in Austin, we’re glad to do either.

Home moves

Houses, condos, and townhomes across Austin. We pad and wrap furniture, protect doorways and floors, and place every piece in the room where you want it.

Apartment movers

Apartment moves come with stairwells, elevator reservations, gated entrances, and parking that takes some planning. Send us your community’s move-in rules, and we’ll schedule the crew around them.

Office movers

Small businesses and offices can’t afford a week of downtime. We plan office moves around your hours, pack and label workstations and files, and set up furniture at the new space so your team can get back to work quickly.

Furniture movers

Moving a few big pieces rather than a whole home? We take apart beds, tables, and desks that need it, pad and wrap each piece, and reassemble everything at the other end.

Piano movers

Uprights and grands need trained hands, the right equipment, and a plan for every step and turn. Learn more on our Austin piano movers page.

Packing and unpacking

Full packing for the whole home or partial packing for the kitchen, closets, artwork, and fragile pieces, plus unpacking at your new place. See our packing services page for details.

Long-distance and out-of-state moves

Leaving Austin for another city or state? We plan for the extra miles from day one. See our long distance moving page for how it works.

Moving Around Austin: Local Notes from Our Crews

Austin is a big, fast-growing city, and the details of a move change a lot from one neighborhood to the next. A few things we plan around:

  • Downtown and high-rise buildings: Towers downtown, around Rainey Street, and near the Domain usually require elevator reservations, loading dock times, and sometimes a certificate of insurance. Send us your building’s move-in rules early and we’ll plan the day around them.
  • Older central neighborhoods: Homes in Hyde Park, Travis Heights, Clarksville, and Bouldin Creek often have narrow driveways, porch steps, and tight doorways. We measure and wrap carefully so big pieces fit without damage.
  • Suburban neighborhoods: Circle C, Steiner Ranch, Avery Ranch, and the newer communities along SH-130 and SH-45 often have HOA rules about truck parking and moving hours. Let us know and we’ll work within them.
  • West Campus and student leases: Around UT, leases tend to turn over in late summer, so streets and elevators get crowded. Booking early helps.
  • Traffic: I-35, MoPac, US-183, and Loop 360 can all slow down at rush hour. We schedule start times to avoid the worst of it when we can, and early starts also help beat the summer heat.
  • North and Northwest Austin: The Domain, Avery Ranch, Anderson Mill, and the apartments along Parmer Lane and MoPac often have elevator reservations, move-in windows, and HOA rules. Send us the rules early.
  • Southeast and East growth: New neighborhoods keep opening along SH 71, SH 130, and FM 973 toward the airport, Del Valle, and Manor. We confirm new-construction access the day before.

We also move customers between Austin and nearby communities all the time, including Buda, Kyle, San Marcos, Dripping Springs, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Pflugerville, and down the corridor to San Antonio.

How far in advance should I book my Austin move?

As early as you can, especially for weekends, the end of the month, and late spring through summer. Two to four weeks ahead is a good target for a local move, and earlier is better for long-distance. When we have openings, we’re happy to help on short notice.

Local moving from Buda to Austin

We’re based in Buda, just south of Austin, so Austin moves are home territory. South Austin (ZIPs like 78704 and 78745), downtown, and North Austin each bring different parking, elevator, and stair plans—Hector Jr leads crews who plan access before move day.

Hill Country–adjacent Austin neighborhoods often mean stairs, narrow streets, and limited truck staging. Tell us about walk-ups, gated complexes, and fragile pieces up front. We’re a family owned and operated moving company—Serving People & Protecting Furniture, Peace by Piece.
