Help for Families Coordinating From Afar
Many San Antonio families have a son or daughter living in another state, or a family member stationed somewhere far from home. You can still be part of every decision. We do the pre-move survey by video call, so you and your parent can walk us through the house together and agree on what is moving. An adult child who lives out of state can book and pay for the move while the parent is the one on site on move day. We send the plan in writing and stay reachable by phone and email, so nobody is left guessing. If your parent is moving to Texas from out of state, see long-distance moving.
Careful Handling of Heirlooms and Antiques
Older San Antonio homes often hold furniture that has been in a family for generations: a carved armoire, a hutch full of china, a rocking chair, a set of dining chairs from a grandparent’s house. We pad and wrap every piece, protect floors and door frames at both homes, and handle glass, mirrors and marble tops with extra care. Tell us during the survey which pieces matter most, and we will plan how each one moves.
Packing, Unpacking and Setting Up the New Home
- Packing: full packing, or only the china, glassware, photos and keepsakes. See our packing services page.
- Furniture disassembly and reassembly: we take apart bed frames, tables, desks and shelving and put them back together at the new home.
- Furniture placement: each piece goes where you want it, with clear walkways.
- Unpacking: we unpack the boxes and put dishes, clothes and everyday things where they belong.
- Pictures, TVs and beds: we hang pictures and TVs and make up the beds with linens, so the new apartment feels like home from the first night.
We don’t offer storage of any kind. We move belongings straight from the current home to the new one.

Working With the Community and Move Day
We coordinate the move-in time and elevator booking with the community, and we can provide a certificate of insurance when the community asks for one. Hector Jr leads the crew. We arrive at the time we planned, go over the day with your parent or the family member on site, and start with the most delicate pieces. We keep a calm, steady pace and never rush anyone.
